I had a great idea from a friend of mine tonight while we shared a few drinks and a fun conversation. I have been loving to bring you cool stories and news around the world involving the hacker culture but I wanted more contributions from my readers . . .

The idea is to present a topic that everyone can write on, the best stories will be presented on the site! Lets get this pumping guys! The storys can be really short if thats all you have time for, but lets get it happening!

The topic of the month:

DNA-microdot encryption

With cryptography approaching that sobering new era, scientists in Israel are reporting development of what they term the first molecular system capable of processing password entries.

Electronic keypad locks long have been fixtures on home security systems and other devices that require a password. The new study, however, describes a keypad lock based on molecules that fluoresce only in response to the correct sequences of three input signals.

"By harnessing the principles of molecular Boolean logic, we have designed a molecular device that mimics the operation of an electronic keypad, a common security circuit used for numerous applications in which access to an object or data is to be restricted to a limited number of persons," the researchers state. "The development of a molecular-scale keypad lock is a particularly attractive goal as it represents a new approach to protecting information at the molecular scale."

SQL Injection Cheat Sheet Updated

pentestmonkey has really been doing some great things over there. He informed me of some awesome SQL Injection cheat sheets he’s been busy with for both DB2 and Ingres. I have incorporated these cheat sheets into the MD SQL Injection Cheat Sheet.

His original cheat sheets are available here:

pentestmonkey also recently let me know about some work he’s done around his newly created web backdoors which I still want to incorporate into the Web Backdoor Compilation. I think its time for an open svn!
