How to Enter BIOS Windows 10

If you intend to configure within the Windows 10, there are various methods for it. When we are talking about BIOS, it means we are discussing the program that is built-in to your system’s motherboard.

BIOS software basically controls each and everything related to the boot function.

It is an evident fact that it being a pre-boot environment, that is impossible for you to enter it by using the Graphic User Interface.

You need to come into it when the Windows starts the booting process. In Windows XP or 7, when the booting was a slower process, it was an easy task to enter BIOS. But in Windows 8 or 10, it has become a bit difficult as it boots up faster.

Here is how to enter BIOS in Windows 10 by using Settings menu and Command Prompt Admin.

Enter BIOS by Using Settings

Go to the “Start” button and select “Settings” from its menu.
In the list of categories, there will be “Update & Security” feature. Click this feature to move ahead.
Update & Security in Settings
Here, in the left pane, you will see the feature “Recovery.” Select it to view its content in the right pane. Now Choose “Restart now” option under Advanced Startup.
Recovery Menu
(If you reboot the system by using the Power option in the Start menu, the PC will not start with a special menu. Now you are going to use a particular menu once the system reboots.

  • When it reboots, select “Troubleshoot” from the options appearing on the screen.
  • In the Troubleshoot menu, select “Advanced options” feature.
  • Here, in the next window, select “UEFI Firmware Settings.”
  • When the “UEFI Firmware Settings window appears, you need to select “Restart” to change the settings.

That’s all guys. When the system reboots, it will show you the BIOS of Windows 10. You can modify the settings according to your preferences.

Enter BIOS by Using Command Prompt (Admin)
You can enter BIOS by using the Command Prompt (Admin) too. It is a direct method, and you do not need to go through many options in it.

Here is how to use it.

Right-click the Start button and click “Command Prompt (Admin)” from the WinX menu.
In Command Prompt window, type “shutdown.exe /r /o” and press Enter. (Type command without commas)

shutdown.exe /r /o command

Now the system will restart. See the on-screen instructions to Enter BIOS.

How To Install Exodus On Kodi 17.3

Exodus is a very popular add-on for Kodi Krypton 17.3. It is a 3rd party kodi add-on which of course isn’t supported by developers of Kodi but we’ll teach you how to install it on Kodi.

Needless to say that Kodi users can previously download this add-on directly from the TV Addons Indigo tool, but since its shutdown, the process is pretty difficult but don’t worry, follow our step-by-step instructions and install it.

Exodus is popular for its plethora of movies, television shows, kids shows and documentaries.

It has some cool filtering options as well that lets you choose movies and television shows based on the Genres like Action, Animation, Anime, Biography, Adventure, Comedy, Crime, Drama, Family, Fantasy, History, Horror, Musical, Mystery, Romance and much more.

We highly recommend whenever watching movies on Exodus, prefer Blue-ray or DVD because the ones inside the add-on are low quality with Chinese subtitles which can’t be removed.

15 Best Kodi Addons Working In 2017

Since June 5th, Kodi Krypton has gone through some serious tweaks and a lot of addons have shut down including some repositories.

The Kodi fanatics have also been stunned when the some of its libraries, including Fusion TVAddons have all of the sudden gone offline.

Obviously, the law enforcement authorities have sacked these third-party tools and users aren’t happy.

Nothing to worry…We have you backed with these Kodi Addons Working in 2017 and here some of these for unlimited video streaming and music listening.

Kodi Addons Working In 2017

These are some of the best Kodi Add-ons that allow streaming unlimited movies, TV shows, live sports, media content and documentaries.

IMPORTANT: Before we start, I would highly recommend my readers to use a VPN whenever using Kodi. You may receive copyright infringement notices for streaming movies, TV shows and sports through addons as many others have received. The best VPN service that I prefer is IPVanish.

1: Exodus

Exodus is undoubtedly the best video streaming add-on with the most updated libraries of movies. When I heard of the shutdown of Kodi add-ons, I immediately checked on Exodus, and luckily it was safe.

Exodus allows you to easily search for your favorite movies, TV shows and radio stations. You can also filter them by the year, genre, top rated and most watched.

2: Specto

Specto is another survivor of the recent destructive update and it is nearly the same as Exodus. The features are same however it uses different sources for pulling out videos and favorite TV shows.

Best of all Specto is hosted on FilmKodi and not on TV Addons. Just in case Exodus ever goes down, you can switch to Specto.

SALTS is a great Fusion repository add-on and is also known as Stream All The Sources. It gives you access to latest movies and TV shows to stream online directly from Kodi. It has an up-to-date library which has popular movies and TV shows.

What it like the most about this add-on is its user-friendly interface which is far better and easily accessible. You don’t have to go through tons of steps before you can finally watch your favorite TV show or movies. Just click, scroll through the list, tap on the movie you want to watch, select a server and that’s it.

4: Genesis Reborn

I recently published a very detailed post on Installing Genesis Reborn on Kodi and perhaps it is one of the top notch performing add-on for streaming unlimited media.

Genesis Reborn

Nowadays, you access it via the Jesus Box Media and is available to download directly from Jesus Box repository. Not to mention that it has the best and rich content available on the latest TV shows, movies, radio stations and much more. The only thing you have to fuss with is its installation and I’ve explained it all in my easy-to-follow post.

5: Pro Sport

As the name suggests, Pro Sport is the best and the only addon available for Kodi Krypton where you can stream NBA finals, watch your favorite sports you’ve missed and even scan Reddit fir streaming of live games.

Pro Sport

Though Phoenix is also an option but it has some flaws which were disliked by a lot of users. Pro Sport is better and faster add-on for streaming sports links. You can grab Reddit sports feed via Pro Sport. All you need to do is click on the relevant [my subreddits] folder.

Some popular subreddits for sports streams include:

  • /r/soccerstreams.
  • /r/NCAABBallStreams.
  • /r/nbastreams.
  • /r/nhlstreams.
  • /r/nflstreams.

6: BOB Unrestricted

This add-on went temporarily down due to high traffic, mainly because a lot of other add-ons were being shut down. In fact, it’s the perfect and possibly the best alternative URL to the Noobs and Nerds repository.

BOB Unrestricted

It offers a wide range of content that includes streaming to TV shows, music, sports and movies. All you need is a one-click of the mouse button to play what you like.

7: Quasar

Quasar is the best add-on to unlock unlimited movies and shows via the popular torrent websites. This add-on uses P2P protocol for streaming content on Kodi.

Though it doesn’t directly use torrent website, instead, different providers for pulling out the entertainment content. You can stream various movies and shows via Quasar.

8: 1Channel PrimeWire

Ever since the fusion repository has been sacked, the 1Channel PrimeWire add-on has been shifted on the Simply Caz Repository and it’s an amazing add-on for streaming movies and TV shows from list of different sources.

1Channel PrimeWire

It’s in fact the only add-on that can be closely related to Exodus. It has some cool themes and icons and a huge playlist of never ending movies, arranged by director, genre, mood and actor. You can also sort out movies based on emotional feelings or events.

9: 123Movies

The 123Movies add-on lets you choose movies based on their preference like the Most Viewed, Recent, Most Favorite and ‘Search Folder’. Not only that, you can also pull out both the new and old movies that you love.

This add-on is available on the popular Mucky Duck Repo and is pretty easy to install.

10: Watch5s

Even though it came pretty late and stayed alive during the recent update, it still gained a lot of attention among the Kodi users because of its latest Hollywood blockbuster collection in its media library.

This add-on quickly searches movies by genre and alphabets. Just a single click of mouse and you are on track to stream your favorite movies.

11: F.U.B.A.R

Another impeccable add-on from Mucky Duck Repo that unlocks hours of entertainment for you and your family. What I love the most is its Panda Section where you can find a huge list of family movies along with Bollywood ones.

12: SportsDevil

The SportsDevil add-on is found inside Fusion Repository and since it has been shut down, it can be found on the Simple Caz Repository. It’s also the leading add-on for streaming your favorite sports channels like cricket, tennis, football, racing, cycling and much more.

However, it is more popular among the football and cricket fans and out of many live platforms, some of the channels it offers include SkySports, FoxSports, BT Sports, ESPN 1 & 2, NBCSN, Box Nation, Racing UK, Sony Six & Set Max and Star Sports and much more.

13: WWE on Demand

Never miss your favorite wrestling matches again and benefit from WWE on demand add-on. You can live stream Royal Rumble and WrestleMania and keep yourself thrilled with the World Wrestling Entertainment 24/7.

WWE on Demand

Needless to say that it is very easy to stream the old matches as well, simply by accessing its archive section.

14: AceStream

The AceStream can be found on Adryan List Repo because it has been removed from the Fusion repository. It basically functions on BitTorrent protocol and even runs via its own media player. Also, to run this addon on Kodi, you will need Plexus which is a program that helps run streams from AceStream onto Kodi.

15: MP3 Streams

And last but not the least is the MP3 Streams and it used to be on the Metal Kettle Repository, however; that repository had some problems due to which it is now found on Super Repo.

MP3 Streams

It’s perhaps one of the most loved music addons by Kodi users. You can stream mp3 music and it even has categories within it. In simple, you can sort by artists, new albums, top albums, billboard top 100 and instant mix favorites.

How to Install Genesis Reborn on Kodi

Kodi is one of the best streaming software and ultimate entertainment center. You can make it even more entertaining by installing add-ons and Genesis is one of those.

Though not an official one but once installed, you can enjoy on Demand Movies and TV Shows in no time.

A big problem with installing Genesis on Kodi is its usage of too many internet-based website as a source of Movies. Because of this, a lot of sites have changed their API.

However, in this guide, we’ll take you through a quick, easy and simple step-by-step guide for installing Genesis on Kodi. Download link for the Genesis Add-on is given below, whereas Kodi is a free software and can be downloaded from their official website J.

Steps To Install Genesis On Kodi?

Once you have the Kodi installed and running on your computer, follow the below steps to install the Genesis add-on.

Before we start make sure to enable “Unknown Source Box”. To do this, go to Setting, System Settings, Add-Ons and from here, slide the button to enable.

1: Run Kodi and from the top left corner, tap on the settings option.

2: Then click on File Manager.

3: Here you’ll see a tab saying ‘Add Source’. Double click on it.

4: Basically, this method works by pointing your computer or device to a specific web address. So, once you double tap on add source, enter this address “” exactly and click on ‘OK’.

5: Finally, name your source as ‘jesusboxrepo’ and click OK.

6: Now, go to Home Screen. Under the system, click on Add-ons.

7: From the top left corner, click on “Package Installer” icon.

8: On the next window, tap on “Install from zip file”.

9: A pop-up box will open up. From here, click on the source ‘jesusbackrepo’ that we just added and click OK.

10: On the next windows, click on and finally tap on OK.

11: Allow it to install. Once installed, you’ll receive a notification on the upper right corner that JesusBox Repository has been Enabled.

12: Once again, from the same window, click on “Install from repository”.

13: On the next page, click “JesusBox Repository”.

14: From the new window, tap on “Video Add-Ons”.

15: Finally, choose “Genesis Reborn”.

16: Tap on the install icon and allow it to download and install.

Congratulations!!! You have successfully installed Genesis on Kodi.

This is perhaps one of the easiest and most straight forward methods to install it. Now you can enjoy HD New Movies, Spotlight, TV Shows and much more.

I know there are guides on accessing the same via Exodus but it doesn’t offer the same level of quality that Genesis Reborn does.

Also, installing the Genesis add-on is far easier than adding Exodus. Even if you try it via the Openload method, it won’t work. Genesis Reborn is the only way to go J.

Another benefit you have installing Genesis is that it truly contains diverse paths that Exodus doesn’t use.

TIP: We highly recommend using a good VPN with Kodi, especially for privacy and security. Since, you’ll be enabling unknown source box option, though not harmful, still accessing it via a VPN is better. It prevents throttling and logs.

NOTE: It may take a few seconds to work. Just in case it doesn’t, restart your Kodi software and start watching your favorite Movies and TV Shows.

Georgi Guninski Retires

Georgi Guninski sent an email to Full Disclosure today, claiming that he will be retiring from the public security scene.

Pre-meditating the question of why, he writes, if one needs to ask for a reason: got old, got somewhat tired.

Georgi has made excellent contributions to the security community for some time now. He has released loads of exploits and his work is quoted in dozens of hacking and security books.

The email ended giving advice to future hackers something in his final words got me thinking:

*) fame is worthless. he wrote.

We all know how many hours we sit in front of our computers, coding, researching and studying. It is a passion and a love. Georgis and many others research, have helped secure systems across the globe. How have these men been honoured for their work? I dont see a noble prize of 10 years of security contributions, and I truly believe there should be one.

Hacking HomePlug Networks

I dont know whether HomePlug networks are growing in use or not, but the following statements caught my attention:

Officials at Intellon, the chip maker that developed the HomePlug spec, say that hacking into a HomePlug network would require cracking the governments DES encryption standard. – link

My favourite:

HomePlug specification products also protect data by utilizing powerful DES encryption, which makes hacking into a HomePlug network virtually impossible. – link

If you are not sure what a HomePlug network is then maybe the following diagram will help:

As you can see above, HomePlugs in many cases can replace a Wireless infrastructure or work along side it (i.e. your house or office has thick walls weakening the signal). You simply plug it into your wall socket and attach a network lead to it.

Now I didnt really spend ages on coming up with advanced hacking techniques for these things. It would be overkill me thinks. These devices are insecure in their default state. They are also insecure in their secured state.

So lets put our attack together:
1. HomePlug Detection Enumeration
2. Exploitation in its default state
3. Exploitation in its secured state
4. Hacker Countermeasures

1. HomePlug Enumeration

You need a compatible HomePlug to start. A single plug can cost between £20 – £30. Ensure that the plug is HomePlug v1.0 certified or you will most likely fail in your endeavor.

You will then require a target, testing your own network is easy enough, attackers will most likely test your network from an outside wall socket.

Install the software that comes with the plug – this software was exactly same with both my HomePlug makes (other then a few logo changes). Plug your HomePlug into the wall socket of the network you what to connect to. Load up the software and simply click Scan Powerlines Network. You could also just load a sniffer and check if your rogue plug has already joined the network.

2. Exploitation in its default state

I couldnt find the v1.0 specification rfc, but it was trivial to work out that all these devices use a default network key of HomePlug to start with. Obviously this was done to allow for plug and play. Load up your sniffer and monitor network traffic. If the default key is used you should see NetBIOS broadcasts etc. Job done.

3. Exploitation in its secured state

56-bit DES encryption may have been considered cryptographically strong in the stone ages but not today.

Even though 56-Bit DES encryption (2^56 possible keys) is breakable, it may take a fair chunk of time to crack – although Rainbowtables has made this alot easier. Personally, I would try some weak passwords to begin with.

4. Hacker Countermeasures

Do the obvious. Use a very strong key to secure your HomePlugs. Ensure thats your network devices are firewalled. Hopefully the newer versions will provide stronger encryption options.

AVs prove less-effective

Last year I started working on the Web Backdoor Compilation (WBC). The idea behind the project was the following:

  • A tool to aid penetration testers and web developers with security testing document management applications.

Recently I made a pre-v2 release of the tool, which has received even more feedback then the previous version and the project just got even more exciting.

During web applications security audits, I have come across a couple of situations where my uploaded file just vanished off the server – I am sure many reading this have come across this too. The reason behind this was that an Anti-Virus (AV) application had detected the malicious script and removed it. My future plans for this project is to check the effectiveness of AV filters against the scripts in WBC. Dancho Danchev has gone ahead and made a fantastic start to this!

I have gone ahead and added his research into the WBC table for easy viewing and as a centralised location for AV vendors and other interested parties. The results are certainly not a shocker but definately an eye opener. WBC has certainly demonstrated what all security researchers already know, this area needs work!

I can really see AV vendors catching a wake up call in this area or atleast I hope they do. The fun will soon begin to see how we can circumvent their restrictions and help improve some of these products!

Getting Certified (Part II): Security Certs

Well what about security certifications? There are useful guides to certifications at and Arguably, the better internationally known certifications listed are CISSP and SCNP. One recent addition into this arena is the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). Their course outline provides a very good background on what you should know as a security tester. Whether the content is any good is another thing.

Also have a look at Bruce Schneiers thoughts on security certifications, along with Marcus Rankums counterpoint.

Then there are government certifications. In the UK, they apply to security companies and personnel that may work on government projects, which usually are not for public consumption. These accreditation allow cleared companies to work on these projects whilst adhering to some stringent rules. The thought process for this is that the government get an independent review of their systems from their pool of accredited testers. The Communications-Electronics Security Group (CESG) set the precedence for security of communications and data. They have a number accreditation schemes for companies. They include CESG Listed Adviser Scheme (CLAS), which focuses in the audit and policy side of security and CHECK which provides a more technical audit and healthcheck of systems. Although the latter is being phased out by Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers (CREST)
On the other side of the pond, it is a bit unclear who would be allowed to work on government projects but it appears they have agencies just for that very thing. For example, the states have National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) who offer services including Federal Information Processing Standard Publications. Canada have a similar agency setup in Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC).

WordPress Akismet Fixed

This is a quick alert to let everyone know that a new version of Akismet has been released to address the recent security vulnerability. As usual, I was very impressed with the speed and accuracy of WordPress in addressing this issue, in particular Ryan Boren and Matt Mullenweg.

For details on downloading the latest WordPress Akismet Plugin, please see: WordPress 2.1.3 Akismet Vulnerability.

I will wait a period of time to allow everyone to upgrade before releasing the full advisory, so keep an eye out for it.
